Announcing Picture Comments & OpenID 2.0 ( comments)

Announcing more great features from JS-Kit, just in time for Christmas…

Picture Comments

JS-Kit has changed the game on commenting again today with another industry first! We call it Picture Comments.

Users can attach multiple images to each of their comments. Images will be auto-thumbnailed and can be clicked on for full-size viewing. This also joins our existing YouTube video support for a full multimedia commenting experience.

Because a picture is worth a thousand words.

OpenID 2.0

Also today we are announcing that just after shipping FB Connect Integration last week, JS-Kit has now upgraded to OpenID 2.0 Support. This furthers our commitment to the open standards authentication scheme.

OpenID 2.0 lays the foundation for us to move towards full open standards Data Portability support over the coming months.

JS-Kit wraps up the year with killer new features ( comments)

In the last week JS-Kit has launched some killer new features to close out the year with a bang. Here are the highlights!

Full FB Connect support across our 600,000 Registered Sites
JS-Kit is the first commenting service and social widget provider to integrate with Facebook Connect. But we’re not stopping there. We also announced our commitment to implement Google Friend Connect, MySpaceID and any other relevant authentication scheme to reduce the friction for our users and publishers. This will be done in the coming weeks. We already support OpenID.

Also, our implementation of Facebook Connect (and soon others) is extra publisher friendly. Our visitor profile appears as a pop up within the publisher’s site rather than taking them to Facebook or JS-Kit’s destination site. Read more here.

YouTube Videos in Comments
Visitors can now embed videos from YouTube in their comments. Videos will play right inside the comment without leaving the page.

Keyword search within comment roll
Users can now search comments. Find the comments that matter to you quickly and easily!

New “Smooth Grey” Skin
A great new look and feel available to all existing sites. All new installations will use this new skin by default. Of course publishers can still totally customize the comment service with CSS and other options.

Emoticons and Safe HTML support
Users can now include cool Emoticons and safe HTML in their comments. Self-expressions in your comments has never been easier.

Our Facebook Connect integration has been covered on Techcrunch.
